 Music Background: Began in mid 60's playing Coffee Houses and Universities. Performed in Strip Clubs, Hotel Bars, Taverns, Nightclubs, Pubs, Civic Arenas, Stadiums, Casinos, Concert Halls, Saloons and Opera Houses (including The Grand Old Opry). Entertained on Barges, Ferries and Cruise Ships. Performed for troops via the USO at Army Bases and Service Clubs. Toured in Labrador, Canada and Fairbanks, Alaska, as well as Jamaica, Bermuda and The Greek Isles.

Musical Influences: Little Richard, Chuck Berry, The Drifters, Smokey Robinson, Otis Redding, Isley Brothers, David Ruffin, and then later, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stephen Stills, Neil Young, Jimmy Webb, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, and Cat Stevens.

Songwriter: Regional Top 20 hit in eastern Canada. Semi finalist in the 'The American Song Festival'. Semi finalist in Musician Magazine's contest. Penned and recorded charity record 'Care For The Children' (also theme song for Children's Miracle Network Telethon).

Various: Television Presenter and Musical Director of children's show 'Something Else' for Global Television in North America. Played part in the film 'Incognito' with Jason Patrick and Rod Steiger. UK television appearance ('London's Burning').

UK Musicals: London Stage performance as Gene Vincent, Bill Haley in Jack Good's 'Good Rockin Tonite'. The King in 'Elvis The Musical'. Voice of 'The Plant' in 'The Little Shop of Horrors'. Booth singer for musicals 'Grease' and 'Hair'.Born: Selma, Alabama

Parents: Ralph Blowers and wife, Theresa (nee Dimitri)

Family Background: Father in American Air Force. Father left service, settled in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Mother a musician, signed to Decca records. Brother Billy born Sacramento, California.

Musical training: None. Self taught.

Vocal range: Not quite 4 octaves starting at a low F and going to a high D.

Instrument: Drums, Percussion (congas, bongos, timbales), Bass, Guitar and Piano.

Michael Dimitri’s video Let Freedom Ring will be the featured video at the New York Rocks Tribute to 9/11 on September 11, 2007. This tribute will be recorded at the Time Warner Cable Studio in Staten Island and will be broadcast nationally.

Michael Dimitri will be performing live in Hollywood at the America’s Heart 2007 concert on Nov. 11th, 2007 which will be broadcast world wide.
