Los Angeles, CA – Astrella Celeste, the deeply talented, internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter is proud to be releasing her much-anticipated EP Blue Star debuting live at her upcoming CD release party at the Hotel Café on Thursday, June 4th, 2009 at 7pm. Credits for her soon-to-be released EP, Blue Star, the Spanish translation of Astrella-Celeste, make for interesting reading. Written by Astrella, with Kevin Hunter (Sheryl Crow), the album is a cavalcade of talent. Produced by Yoad Nevo (Sugababes, Goldfrapp), with string arrangements by the legendary John Cameron (Les Miserables, Jose Carreras), and featuring Rat Scabies on drums, Andy Hobson (Pretenders) on bass, this album will have fans clamoring for more. Interest in Astrella has been high with features already appearing in on ABC News, FOX & Friends, Sunday Times Magazine, OK! Magazine, Hello, Daily Mail and more.

Blue Star embodies Astrella Celeste’s lyrical and relaxing spirit by fusing jazz, pop and country and delivers a sound that is uniquely her own. Personal, affecting and sensitive with a sweet, almost innocent quality, her songs express a beautiful, casual lifestyle where it’s easy to believe that any “Dream” can be brought to Reality as this EP and its star-studded collaborators clearly attest. "The release of Blue Star is immensely satisfying” says Celeste. “It is the completion of a lot of hard work and a little luck. Throughout the process I have learned so much about myself. I am more at peace then ever before and now I just want to enjoy the ride."

First thrust into the spotlight in early childhood, Astrella released a hit single in Italy at age 8, which impelled the Pope to request a meeting with her. A veteran of acting schools and dance troupes, Astrella also served as co-writer and backup vocalist for her world-renowned father, singer Donovan, and has repeatedly toured with him for the past 15 years.

Far beyond her collaborations with Donovan, Astrella's career has been richly enhanced by her continued collaborations with music’s elite; studio recording sessions, concert performances and home jams, with The Rolling Stones, David Gilmour, Brian Setzer, Donovan, Mark White, Happy Mondays, and Graham Nash at festivals including: Isle of Wight, Glastonbury, and Benicassim and intimate performances like the Kodak Theatre with David Lynch for PBS just to name a few.
