The idea of Sil Veth was born in 1999 in the quiet town of Denville, NJ where three guys and a drum machine set out on a quest to create and perform challenging and insightful music.
The project's name was made of two roots which can be found in hundreds of words throughout most Slavic languages. While the direct translation may never be known, roughly these two roots probably stand for "Power" (Sil, !8;) and "Concord" (Veth, 5B).
The material grew within the confines of rehearsal spaces and residences for eight years, all the while serving to its creator's as their main outlet for musical and lyrical expression.
In 2007 Sil Veth enters a new era, as the line-up solidifies, the day-jobs are quit and the concerts are played.
