Jinx the Tragedy Bio:
With every band member aged 13 and younger, this alt-pop band from Gilbert, Arizona has been getting a lot of buzz. They have performed at Arizona Cardinals Stadium, major malls in the Phoenix area and city, school and charity events. They've also taken 1st place at the Music & Arts Center's Annual Garage Band Competition, and their first single "Still Got You" is getting strong reviews on Internet radio.
When Austin Jones, then a 6th grader at Sonoma Ranch Elementary in
Gilbert, heard that Sam Hirsche (another 6th grader) could "own him" in
guitar, Austin invited Sam over for the challenge. As it turns out, whoever spread the rumor didn't realize that Sam was a drummer, not a guitarist. But that turned out to be a good thing.
The two boys started jamming but soon realized they needed a bass player. So
they recruited their friend Treven Martin, who picked up the bass very quickly. Sam's Dad, who grew up drumming in bands, heard the boys practicing one day and realized they could use a "coach". He also recruited his other
son, Noah, to play keyboard for the band.
The songs, "Still Got You" and "Kill my Fun" will be included on JTT's forthcoming album, scheduled for release in eary 2010. The songs can be purchased on i-Tunes and Amazon.com. Fans can also find Jinx the Tragedy on Facebook or at
