I'm one of three daughters of a former lead vocalist for the U.S. Navy Band who
is now a composer and producer of music and live stage shows. I just kind-of
grew up around it. Over the years I've been privileged to participate in a lot
of these live productions. I have helped in different commercial projects by
singing (jingles & background) and laying down voice-over tracks. However, until
now, I've never worked on anything like this.
This whole project happened as a result of playing around in my dad's studio.
He's known for a long time of my desire to try my hand at recording a song. He
was able to set aside some time this past summer to help me do it. We were just
casually experimenting with some of the tracks and it all started sounding
pretty good (to us anyway), so we both stepped back and decided to really buckle
down and get serious. It soon progressed into what seemed like a monumental
amount of work. Don't get me wrong, it's been a wonderful experience for me, but
until now, I had no idea of the amount of work involved in making an entire
recording from start to finish. It's given me a whole new level of respect for
all recording artists (across the board), especially for those who have more
than one album out. wow!
I make absolutely no presumptions about any of my work here. Of course, I hope
that there will be many out there who can relate to the lyrics, and as a result
enjoy the songs. Like them or not though, I still want to say thanks for logging
on and taking the time to listen and check things out. For those who are liking
it thus far, stand by, there are more great songs from this project coming soon – and I’m
extremely excited to share them with everyone!
