 Through an internet ad in 2004, long term friends Caio Duarte and
Diego Teixeira met the guitarist Victor H. Schmidlin, creating a then
unaligned project with the drummer Rodrigo Costa.
The growing complexity of the band’s music demanded another
guitarist, who came to be the city newcomer and music teacher Diogo
Mafra.
In june of 2005, Rodrigo Costa left the band, and was replaced by
Marlon Marquis, who filled for a few months before returning to his
hometown. The band was then joined by the ecletic drummer Rafael Dantas
(ex Dark Avenger and Last Rites).
In 2006 Victor left, and was soon replaced by Pablo Vilela
(Rattlesnake, Engels Espíritos, ex Dark Avenger), an experienced
guitarist known for his versatility and technique.
After massive live performing, in 2008 they finished their first full
lenght, "Antigen".
The album was released with an overwhelming acclaim from both critics
and fans, and is currently being placed by some media outlets among the
best Brazilian metal albums of all time.
The excellent reception yielded several distribution partnerships,
making the album available on Europe, North and South America, but the
band is currently unsigned.
Press Release: Mixing progressive influences and a furious
soundscape, combined with a solid experimental verve, DYNAHEAD
released in 2009 their first full lenght record, Antigen.Comprised of
well-known and experienced musicians from the respected Brazilian scene,
DYNAHEAD already have a major touring history throughout South America,
performing with bands such as ILL NIŃO, SEPULTURA, ANATHEMA, OMEN, RATOS
DE PORĂO and many others.
Helmed by up-and-coming producer CAIO DUARTE and mastered by JAMES
MURPHY (TESTAMENT, DEATH), DYNAHEAD is currently working on the
worldwide release and promotion for their new opus. The antigen is here.
