This is Aisha's story so far
She was Born and grew up till she reach 16 in South London, England UK.
From as long as she can remember, she has always wanted to be a singer. But as she grew older, she realized that it is more rewarding to write her own songs.
In 1999, age 11, she joined Saturday classes at Italia Conti (Landor Road, London) where she studied singing, Jazz dance and Modern dance. Studying these three gave her a head start and helped her to develop her then fairly minimal skills.
Aisha took part in her first ever showcases at the Pimlico school in 1999…
Wanting to experience what it would be like to record her own songs, in 2001 she applied to the Westminster Summer University during the summer holidays she spent two weeks writing and recording her own song. Did a two year stint in Musical Theatre course at the Brit School which benefited her by giving her training, endurance and performance skills, which she knew would be needed in a successful singing career.
Took a year off, training and building endurance.
Wanting to be fully experienced and knowledgeable about her chosen career she then went on a production and music course and formed a live rock acoustic band (Live Wire) with some college mates. They gigged around various schools in South London. They took part in a National Contest and the band became the Overall National winner with the Gold Award (UK) in Popular Music at the World Skills Challenge… They played at various occasions and recently played at the Jamm in Brixton hosted by Stig Of The Dump.
For 10 years
