Born in a “country that does not exist anymore,” Soviet Union,
Evestus first earned attention as a vocalist in Estonian metal group Solwaig since 2001 known for their sophisticated compositions, aggressive sound and loud, attention-grabbing image of the frontman Evestus.
Feeling unable to fully express himself just lyrically, Evestus started composing his solo electronic work in 2004. The end of 2004 saw the release of Evestus's first solo album "Destiny in Life", a fairly colorful and erratic mixture of samples and synths, which got him a deal with Canada’s D-trash records who re-released the debut to a wider audience.
The second album “Wastelands” (2006), a very solid work inspired by a box office hit PC game "Fallout 2", was a concept album with an extremely distinct sound and style. A "post-apocalypse pop music" as some referred to it, featured traces of raw industrial sound mixed with classical instruments and hints of Dixieland jazz. D-trash records went all out on promoting this album and it received very good reviews worldwide. Evestus became an established name in the industrial underground and “Wastelands”, although not commercially successful, retains a cult following.
Having not listened to any music for around a year, Evestus decided to create something more animate, taking a whole new perspective with his third opus, aiming to create something of huge proportions that would be dramatic and grand on a record as well as on stage (Devolution Magazine interview 2010). When the new material started taking shape under the name of “This Is Dramacore”, it turned out to be too "rock 'n roll" for D-trash records so instead Estonia’s Legendaarne Records supported the release of "Sacrifice" single in May 2008, but a deal was never signed as Evestus was still not ready to release the album.
The video of a more radio-friendly “Sacrifice” immediately made it to the MTV Baltics Top 20 (and had later some rotation on Scandinavian MTV), getting a lot of attention and landing Evestus a gig at MTV Estonia’s birthday party, supporting Kerli. That show defined Evestus as a live band. The hermit got a one-week notice to put together a live group for the opportunity. The resulting 9-piece delivered exactly what Evestus had aimed for. Shock and awe. Described by local media as a performance by goth-fuhrer Evestus that had an impact on the crowd like a blitzkrieg leaving them stunned and asking, "What just happened?"
At the end of 2008 Evestus self-released his second, much heavier single-"You're Not Good Enough To Be My Enemy." Again well received, the single landed #4 at MTV Baltics Top 20, with serious rotation in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, that placed the single in World Chart Express.
The song was heavy enough for industrial and metal fans, yet also found favor with other alternative audiences. While continuing work on the material for “This Is Dramacore”, Evestus only made live appearances on the biggest local events- NOKIA Music Gala, Tallinn Music Week, Extreme Weekend. On Tallinn Music Week 2009, Evestus was described as “a frontman who takes the stage every time with such honesty and dedication as if it was his last show, the band provide an ambience unlike anything you have ever heard or seen. You'll never know what you’ve been missing in today’s music until you hear Evestus.”
. 2009 was mostly spent finalizing "This is Dramacore". With a solid live band to back him up, Evestus got a chance to re-record and replace virtual instruments with real ones and truly bring his musical concept to life. A track called "Conveniently Confused" was released on a UK-s Terrorizer Magazine covermount CD in their 2009 October issue.
2010 February saw the finishing touches of the album mixing and Evestus started focusing on a live set-up to support the new release on stage.
Evestus fans are gathering under “The New Scum” banner, providing on-line and street promotion worldwide.

Release:
29.04.2010 Finally saw the official release of Evestus's third album "This Is Dramacore". Four years in the making, this release redefines the Estonian industrialist who has been known for his instrumental sample-based releases under D-trash records. The new album incorporates heavy compositions of classical instruments and synths, of breakbeats and heavy natural drums. It is clear that no detail has been left unnoticed on this grand opus of industrial-goth-rock.
The album contains over an hour of music in 12 tracks and a hard-copy comes in a cardboard sleeve with a 28 page booklet.
Description: Evestus’s sound can be described as orchestrated industrial goth-rock with intense rythmic underline. While dark on the surface, one can sense some irony and even playfulness in his multi-layered compositions.
