erFiq
Plagued by death and sadness from 2001 to 2009, Chris Clover has had band mates perish. He decided to take an indefinite hiatus until 2009 at which point he was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. This gave him a resurgent’s, of sorts, and decided to un-earth the old recordings from 2005 and re-mix, re-vamp and re-master them. With these songs resurrected and new songs yet to be released that are dedicated to two band members who have passed on, Jeremiah ‘Great Bear’ Martin and Aaron ‘erFiq’ Brown (with proceeds going to the Chris Clover’s Medical Fund), he was ready to begin the next portion of his life. The songs were mixed by Chris Clover and Ed Corpse555 and mastered at Mobile Media Mastering. The CD was released March 1, 2010.
The new single, “Medusa” is off of the new self-titled CD. Art work was created by artist Glen Foo Brown who worked closely with Chris during this process. The storyline behind this title is simple enough – it’s the unfortunate story about mythical Medusa. In accordance with Chris Clover, this specific single was chosen to represent the CD because it was part of the theme, connecting it to the artwork. It is also representative of the overall heavy metal texture of the songs recorded for this CD. This particular lead song has heavy bass which makes your soul quiver. The vocals are dark and distorted to an almost demonic state, yet it holds a certain sentiment in all its glory. It grabs your attention from the very beginning. It is also a tragic tale of past experiences for this band. The emotions that this group emits through their music can almost bring you to tears, but it also makes you think. They are master story tellers in all their glory.
This CD was released in both digital and physical formats.
Portion of a “New Testament” was the original EP that was to be released in 2006. But due to the tragedies that followed, it was not released. In honor of the unreleased title, the next EP will hold that name as its own.

“This release means a lot. It has a story that is sad to tell, but intriguing to hear. The profits are needed for a good cause and the more people it reaches, the better. The instrumentals have been made readily available for licensing opportunities and the full versions with vocals as well for any magazine, website, E-Zine, radio station and the like. The exposure is needed and of course, wanted for anywhere the publicity campaign will reach”.

Description: The music of erFiq is in your face and doesn't lets up. Nothing subtle here. Just a plethora of metal that begs for a mosh pit. The blend of American speed metal and blasting lyrics are the calling cards this band will soon be known for.
The
burgeoning Los Angeles club scene has witnessed the birth of dozens of
quality rock bands from the Doors to Guns 'N' Roses, but none quite so

I need to make this clear right now: This ISN'T your average Bio. I'm not going to make delusional comparisons to the band and the current music "scene" or create some false sense of fame by listing some of the national bands we've played with.

Highfire Skyline was formed in the beginnings of 2007 after the break-up of one of New Hampshire’s most well-known technical metal bands, The Nicaea Room.
