Elisa is Australian ex-pat transplanted to the US (Phila, PA), married to Herb Smith (well-known Philadelphia based R&B guitarist/songwriter) and mother to Bry (11 y.o. going on 16)! After having worked in corporate America the past decade, Elisa is now ready to foray back into the land of music (albeit with an MBA). First single "Room for Love" is now released from upcoming EP/Album "Melbadelphia" to be released Fall 2010.
Elisa's music pulls from several music genre's including Pop, Rock, Soul, Acoustic, and even a little Funk. Since living in Philadelphia area, Elisa has performed at casinos in Atlantic City including Caesar's, Harrah's, and The Hilton. In addition, she has performed at The Mushulu and has stood in at Warm Daddy's, and Taylor's.
In Australia Elisa performed with several cover bands and trios, sang on "In Melbourne Today", the local morning television show, and sang the national anthemin front of 10,000 people at the Rod Laver Arena at a game for the National Basketball League (NBL).
In addition to being a singer/songwriter, completed Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management at Immaculata University in 2005, and continued on to complete Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Eastern University in 2007.
ELISA O'KEEFE-SMITH RELEASES 2ND SINGLE "NEVER LET YOU GO"
OCTOBER 2, 2010 - Aussie born Philly resident Elisa O'Keefe-Smith, wife of well-known R&B guitarist and songwriter, Herb Smith, released 2nd single "Never Let You Go (RIP Mum)" on September 30, 2010.
"Never Let You Go (RIP Mum)" is the 2nd single from Elisa's upcoming EP/Album "Melbadelphia", scheduled for release late Fall 2010. 1st single "Room For Love" was released August 24th 2010.
Elisa collaborated on "Never Let You Go" with her husband "Herb Smith" (co-writer), "Doug Grigsby" (music production) who is a well-know R&B bass guitarist and music director for Teena Marie, and Chiquita Green (backing vocals), a well known international gospel and jazz recording artist.
