George "Markkii" Harrison, Jr., fell in love with different styles of music at a young age. As a producer/singer/songwriter, he brings his own definition to music.

Hailing from humble beginnings, at the age of 16, Harrison was forced to leave home with nothing but a dream to become a legendary performer, and the clothes on his back. “This is where the journey began for me,” recalls Harrison, “the road to fulfill this dream has been one of many ups and downs.”

After finishing high school in South Carolina, Harrison enlisted in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. While stationed in Georgia, he found himself surrounded by people who shared the same aspiration and he quickly befriended the artists in the local music community.

At the ripe age of 21, Harrison was on the Saturday Night Mix Tape with DJ Al Irvin, a local disc jockey in Columbus, Georgia. This opportunity landed Harrison a gig on "Hot Spot,” a local entertainment show affiliated with NBC, which is where he received his first mixing credits as a celebrity interviewer.

After the military, Harrison returned to his hometown of South Carolina and his first love, music. With determination in his heart and ambition in his soul Harrison cleaved to his dream with unwavering dedication. Through a spin of luck Harrison was invited to become the host of a travelling trademarked karaoke show called "Afro-oke". With the popularity of “Afro-oke”, Markkii encountered many aspiring artists and was graced with guest appearances by celebrities such as Juvenile and Prophet Jones.

Eventually Harrison hit the stage as an artist. He was approached by local R&B group who had gotten wind of his vocal abilities. Then called "Diamondz in Da Ruff", the group offered Harrison a position to be a fourth member in their group. The quartet soon cut their name to simply ‘Diamondz,’ and set off to fulfill their dreams and take the music world by storm.

While with Diamondz, Markkii shared a stage with industry greats like "Anthony Hamilton", "Mario Winans", "The Nappy Roots", and The Legendary "Lattimore”. Unfortunately, while talented, the group faltered from the many pressures of the music industry.

Amidst the turbulence another chapter in life opened; Markkii began producing from South Carolina to New York where he adopted the name M’ Notes. M’ Notes produced for artists like Twalla Jay and Slink aka Shawn Travolta. Not completely fulfilled by producing, Markkii felt there was more was set forth for him to accomplish.

So, leaving everything behind, Markkii relocated to Oklahoma City to build again. Teaming with a plethora of talent, in December 2007 he and a co-worker formed an alliance, “Cirius Entertainment Group, LLC”. Releasing Markkii’s first solo singles “These Arms of Mine” and later “Put It on You” In November 2009, Markkii, Executive Producer, released the first EP from the Cirius Entertainment catalog entitled “Moe Forever” by Saxophonist Moe “Better” Williams.

Now in 2010, Markkii has released the first single from his solo debut album entitled “Sunshine”. It’s sure to be a well orchestrated musical adventure, giving back Life, Love and Freedom.

Oklahoma City Vocalist/Producer Markkii Notes is set to release his debut R&B/Pop single “Sunshine” from the album entitled “Sunshine”, a definite fan pleaser.

Markkii Notes has released the debut single from his album Sunshine to digital retail outlets around the world on October 12, 2010. “Sunshine” has been digitally distributed to various sites such as iTunes, Rhapsody and Amazon for digital download.

Markkii has established a loyal fan base by performing in various venues throughout country. He has performed along side: “Anthony Hamilton”, “Mario Winans” and industry great “The Legendary Lattimore,” to name a few. His music is reminiscent of the cool tones of “Ottis Redding” twisted with an southern-urban twang some say is comparable to Lenny William.

“Sunshine,” recorded at Cirius Entertainment Studios, is an encoded soulful expression that “speaks to the hearts of listeners.” Making heartfelt melodies alongside a high-energy guitar he creates an unforeseeable balance between Pop, Rock and R&B. Markkii Notes has put his love for music together to bring the 1st of many musical works to his audience.
