Press Release: --- Nitza (pronounced 'nee-tsa') is an independent multi-lingual singer and songwriter who has entertained audiences around the world. From Madison Square Garden in New York City, the MGM Garden in Las Vegas, and the Staples Center in Los Angeles to countries including Japan, Thailand, Russia, Tunisia and Greece, Nitza has performed in settings ranging from intimate acoustic venues to large arenas. Her art reflects her love of world music, incorporating a blending of exotic instruments, such as the bouzouki, shakuhachi and oud, with western sensibilities. Traveling extensively throughout her career, she infuses her music with flavors that she encounters across the globe.

In 2006 Nitza was invited by Guy Laliberté (founder of Cirque du Soleil) to perform her own musical compositions from her CD Ageless, as the opening act of the Cirque's first musical event 'Delirium'. Nitza became the first solo artist ever to perform original music in a Cirque du Soleil show. With 162 performances throughout the U.S. and Canada, reaching a live audience of well over 1 million, the tour grossed in the top five of all tours for 2006.
