Nitza (pronounced 'nee-tsa') is an independent multi-lingual singer and songwriter who has entertained audiences around the world. From Madison Square Garden in New York City, the MGM Garden in Las Vegas, and the Staples Center in Los Angeles to countries including Japan, Thailand, Russia, Tunisia and Greece.

Her art reflects her love of world music, incorporating a blending of exotic instruments, such as the bouzouki, shakuhachi and oud, with western sensibilities. Traveling extensively throughout her career, she infuses her music with flavors that she encounters across the globe.
In 2006 Nitza was invited by Guy Laliberté (founder of Cirque du Soleil) to perform her own musical compositions from her CD Ageless, as the opening act of the Cirque's first musical event 'Delirium'. Nitza became the first solo artist ever to perform original music in a Cirque du Soleil show. With 162 performances throughout the U.S. and Canada, reaching a live audience of well over 1 million, the tour grossed in the top five of all tours for 2006.
On November 29th 2007 Nitza won 'World Music Artist of the Year' at the 17th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards in Hollywood where she opened the televised event performing the title track to her album 'Ageless'. The Los Angeles Music Awards show is the largest of its kind to recognize the achievements of independent artists from across the globe.
May 30th, 2008, saw Nitza happily performing in her hometown of Montreal at the DEKA Awards Gala where she was awarded 'Artist of the Year'.
Nitza most recently accepted an offer to be the featured vocalist in Criss Angel's show 'Believe' in Las Vegas, produced by Cirque du Soleil. The music for the show is being written by French composer Eric Serra and the red carpet premiere was on October 31st, 2008 at the Luxor Hotel. Nightly performances will run Fridays through Tuesdays at 7pm.
On Nov. 20th 2008, Nitza performed at the Hollywood Music Awards, where she opened the televised event and was honored with the 'Best World Music' award.
