Eden Burning is based out of San Antonio, Texas. Band members include Phil Salazar (singer/songwriter/guitarist), Matt Steele ( lead guitar), John Whitaker (bass) and Doug Merritt (drums). This awesome foursome have been playing live circuits since 2007. In the three years that they have been together, they’ve opened for Dokken, Faster Pussycat, La Guns, The Bullet Boys, Wednesday 13, Vains of Jenna, Anti-Product, Doro, Airbourne, Saxon, Endeverafter, Riot, Dirty Penny, Great White, Bret Michaels, Moxy, Adlers Appetite, Bang Tango, Tesla, UFO, Stephen Pearcy, George Lynch and many others. In 2008 they performed at Bayfest and the South Texas Rock Fest. They were also invited to perform at South by Southwest (SXSW) in March 2006 during the first version of the band and purely on a demo .
Their debut CD, “Banged UP N Dirty” is now available for purchase on itunes worldwide. Their lead single from this CD, “Glitter Girl” is a homage to the groupies that surround rock stars. It sets the tone for a hard hitting rock performance. Almost long forgotten, this band produces a solid sound that reflects nothing but good ole' rock & roll! It is radio friendly and very memorable in this music industry. This song, like all the other songs on this CD are played, recorded and performed with the utmost professionalism.

Eden Burning – Banged Up N’ Dirty
Eden Burning got one singular message for the American public. They got penises and they ain’t afraid to use em. Lock up your daughters, chain up your wives, this is the return of cock rock with nary a condom in sight. Banged Up N’ Dirty? This is get down, humped-from-behind, filthy and obnoxious rawk. This is a Russ Myers B-rated, G-cup film brought to life, soaked in beer, whiskey, body fluids and left bare-naked on the floor, exhausted, spent, and begging for more.
“If You Want Me,” sums these one-eyed monsters’ world view. “The girl was a freak, liked to do the crazy mambo,” spit out amidst the crushing power chords and vibrator-paced drums and bass. Power? Hell yes! As the Pope would say, these guys pound it out as viciously as a trained monkey using my ball sack as a boxing speed bag.
“Glitter Girl,” spits out glammed up and sexy, but no less porn-tastic. These guys are like the rust on a strippers brass pole, festering from years of contact with body fluids. Toss in a guitar lick that’s just about as sexy as said stripper and we got a tune that should keep dollar bills flowing in girlie clubs year round.
I don’t know who they sound like. Kiss? Nugent? Does it really matter? It’s sleazy, cocaine-addled, junk rock cranked up to mind-melting, bug-eyed ferocity. Isn't that what rock’s all about?
