Lester and the Landslide Ladies was formed in Modena in 2002. The immediate intention of the band was to put themselves and their reality into music. The chosen theme is rock. Different attitudes (rock, punk, glam, power pop, garage, blues etc. ) are available for the songs, creating a particular very unique sound in the Italian underground panorama. With this approach the band feels in sinc with the New York scene of the late seventies, and so placing themselves as “ lost somewhere between Kiss and the Ramones – Classic Rock UK”.

Lester and the Landslide Ladies are: Lester, Vinn, Gak and Dave. With this line up they keep chewing up miles and miles, live gig after live gig with total dedication and enthusiasm. This choice over the years has earned them the admiration and affection of both public and critics. Today, sure of not being on their own, the band keeps travelling towards “the conquest of the world”, one shack at a time.

The unceasing live activity, more than 700 dates in the past 9 years (Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland, Hungary), sharing stage with all kinds of bands from New York Dolls to Backyard Babies, from the Vibrators to Cockney Rejects and passing through old and new greats (Sham 69, Angelic Upstarts, Faster Pussycat, Hanoi Rocks, U.S. Bombs, Dogs D’Amour, Paul Collins Beat, L.A. Guns, EZN, Black Halos, Texas Terri Bomb etc.), all this doesn’t stop the band from publishing four studio albums and one live album totally composed of unreleased pieces. Naturally the band’s activity doesn’t stop here: included in various compilations and tributes, they shoot two videoclips with national airplay, they even become subject of a sociology thesis degree, theme “Glam rock : games of masks and performance” by Dr. Alimonte.
