Tampa, FL -- February 1st, 2008 --
Lee Bryant releases debut album "Good Advice." Twelve tracks of innovative modern Americana rock and roll.
Singer-songwriter and keyboardist Lee Bryant has assembled an all-star cast comprised of Tampa area musicians to create an impressive collection of songs swerving from rock to country with bits of blues and bluegrass sprinkled throughout. If you like The Wall Flowers, Warren Zevon, Dire Straits or Tom Petty you will love this album.
“Good Advice” has a bright airy sound, evocative of sixties and seventies style folk rock bands. Skillful songwriting holds the listener’s interest while expert production and musicianship combine to present a modern exciting version of Americana.
Lee Bryant has opened for the likes of Blues Traveler and The Dave Mathews Band and served as sideman for bay area favorites: Rich Whiteley Band, Magnolia Creek and Earth Bombs Mars. Deciding to step out front a bit he enlisted Steve Connelly to help produce this debut album “Good Advice.”
Steve Connelly is a veteran guitarist and bay area music producer. His credits include: The Headlights and Ronny Elliott & the Nationals. Connelly also served as Roger McGuinn’s bandleader during a tour as the Byrds.
Bassist T.J. Glowacki brings considerable jazz and classical expertise to the album. His credits include: backing musician to The Four Aces, Michael W. Smith, The Kingston Trio, Marie Osmond, Robert Goulet and many other pop, jazz and orchestral musicians.
Drummer Dan DeGregory, who backed Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bo Diddley and blues legend Rock Bottom, demonstrates excellence in several different styles throughout as well.
Track list: Low Orbit (4:31), Invisible Man (4:53), One in a Million (4:05), Haunt (4:11), Playing with Fire (4:19), Good Advice (4:39), American Tourista (3:00), Clermont Hotel (4:54), T-Tex (4:29), Over You (3:29), Bottom Feeder (4:20), The Devil Lives in New Orleans (3:42).
