Los Angeles, CA – McPherson Struts’ high-proof, drunk-n-sexy rock music will notch up to the next level with the release of “High-Octane American Rock-n-Roll ,Vol. 1.” The band’s sound is the musical equivalent of turning up a bottle of top shelf bourbon and feeling that warm rush down the throat while a gorgeous, scantily clad woman presses her body up against yours.
That’s attitude and that’s McPherson Struts. Cranking out whiskey-drenched Southern rock with muscle and punch, the band delivers rollicking tunes about women, partying, women, partying and whatever else seems like a barrelful of fun.
The music is larger than life with huge, rolling grooves, guitar riffs more potent than moonshine, gritty persona, full-bodied vocals, rough-and-tumble lyrics and a packed saloon’s worth of energy.
McPherson Struts first reared its head in Atlanta, Ga., and took its sound all across the Southeast before finally settling down in San Diego. Well, settling down might not be the right word for it. Let’s just say the band relocated. McPherson Struts still plays hard and plays music for folks who play hard.
The band’s debut album “Top Fuel Boogie” nabbed a 2001 nomination from the San Diego Music Awards for best rock album and also grabbed a nomination for best roots rock band. McPherson Struts followed up the success of “Top Fuel Boogie” with 2005’s EP “Shocker.” Now they’re getting the party started with “High-Octane American Rock-N-Roll Vol. 1,” due out summer 2008.
McPherson Struts has shared the stage with the likes of Lee Rocker (Stray Cats), George Thorogood, Fear, Agent Orange and Nashville Pussy and has headlined its fair share of regional and national dates. The group is currently working with A&R Select, the world’s leading independent artist development firm, based out of Los Angeles, CA.
