As a kid I was always tinkering on the piano at my folks house and since my early teens always wondered and dreamt about what it would be like to write a great song that impacts upon others as many amazing songs have impacted me.
I found myself out of a job 18 months ago, and felt an incredible urge to start writing songs now that I wasn't always busy earning a living. To start doing what always felt I should be doing. I haven't looked back. This is me. I ended up writing loads of songs on an old acoustic guitar and started performing the songs live around Camden and other areas of London. Based upon direct feedback from strangers, I wasn't the only one feeling what I was trying to do.
I got myself a mic, a computer program, a 70 pound sterling fourth hand Mexican electric guitar and started teaching myself the parts and how to use the recording programs and plug-ins etc... Over a 4 to 5 month period I arranged and recorded what eventually became my 14 track album “On The Tracks Again”, from which these three songs come.
So, to me this is a no tricks, no money, album and was made for love of melody and harmony and telling stories. The songs and many other came up quickly, recording and producing them alone came from belief, desire, and a lot of determination. I
wanted to produce something that had an impact. I knew what I was looking for, but had to learn how to get there.
The songs on the album are about everyday lives and peoples’ stories, memories, desires, friendships and struggles. About staying strong, believing and surviving.
So I finished the album last month (March 08) and am excited to see where it goes and where it takes those that hear it. I know it could be very popular, but such is the industry that there are many barriers and even more talented people out there fighting for their moment.
So, your support really is very much appreciated.
All the best.
Enjoy
