 At the start of his career, singer songwriter Rick Pisano made frequent trips with his brother Fred to the famed music district of New York City, trying to get the attention of any publisher or label that would listen. The brothers achieved some success – they had two songs published, were signed to a management company, and nearly landed a major label deal. Ultimately, Rick and his brother had to put their musical dreams on the back
burner due to jobs, relationships, and studies. A couple of years ago, inspired by the talent and success of artists like Susan Tedeschi, The Allman Brothers Band, Dave Matthews Band, and The Derek Trucks Band, Pisano had an awakening. Thanks to the inspiration of the flourishing independent music scene, the once-smoldering spark has been re-ignited to create the flame that is “Dawn Of A Waking Man.” As he says, “I call it my musical epiphany. Everything just started coming together and making perfect sense for me.”
