Michael Macri is a respected singer/songwriter from the city of Melbourne Australia.
His songs are in the classic rock/pop genre. As a singer/songwriter Michael Macri conveys strong messages within the lyrical content of his songs. As with all popular music, Michael's music crosses a number of genres from classic ballads to alternative rock.
His musical influences are eclectic to say the least. They may emanate from the revolutionary 60s through to 70s "heavy metal and glam". The traits of eighties "new romantic" are also present.
Other elements one can hear in his music have definitely evolved from America, especially music that was recorded in the seventies and eighties.
His distinctive voice captures the best of these influences and transforms them into his own unique style.
For over 20 years he has been generating a loyal following within the city of Melbourne.
His recent song about the Melbourne Gangland war, “I Can’t Drink with you” is available on his new album of the same name. It has been featured on the Australian premier music video program "Rage" and is also available to see on You Tube.
