 Sargent Tucker is the
featured vocalist/bass guitarist, and founder of the self-contained group Sargent.
Their music genre is diverse, designed to appeal to a wide-range adult
audience. This Bay Area groups live shows are on target with Grass Roots,
Rock/Blues, R&B, Motown Classics, and other popular dance music, along with
Sargent Tuckers original compositions.
A reviewer for Vibe Magazine comments on an original from their Compilation
CD, Tucker has a really catchy & I Need Your Love . Sargent Tucker has
been at work producing and recording this new Compilation CD,
appropriately titled Sargent Tucker & Comrades, is now available at
CDBaby etc. This Compilation CD covers it all; Soul Urban R&B, Rock, and
Jazz.
Sargent Tucker is a graduate from the University of California Davis and
holds two college degrees. His success as a writer, artist, producer, is
evidenced by his earlier production, Come See Me. The song was chosen
for Macolas compilation album, Sun Set Strip, which also included the
now defunct rap group (N.W.A.). Come See Me waw originally released as
a double sided single featured along with the hit (Turn Off The Lights)
produced by the now Famed Hip-Hop producer Dr. Dre, and the World Class
Wrecking Cru. Come See Me, marched up the international charts in the
UK, France, and Germany following Sargent Tuckers European tour.
Positive music reviews have been received on Sargents up-coming CD. After
listening to I Need Your Love, another music reviewer comments, Its a
really laid back slab of jazzy soul. Sargent Tuckers talents and
leadership abilities were recognized early. While a member of an award
winning Kennedy High school Jazz Band, he co-founded the group 2 Things
In 1. They signed with Music City Records, and released Silly Song,
which became number one on the regional charts, followed by Together
Forever, that reached audiences, nationally, also climbing to number
one regionally.
