Sarasota, FloridaOctober 3, 2006-- Two songs from Fremont John's “Timeline” CD were entered into the songwriting competition at the Dallas Songwriters Association http://www.dallassongwriters.org/ . The tune “No Pity On Me” is track 3 on the CD and was selected as semi-finalist in the Americana/Folk category. “Devil’s Dune”, track 11on the CD is a song for the soldiers fighting in Iraq. It is a semi-finalist in the Rock/Pop category. The D.S.A. contest is open to songwriters from all over the world for which thousands of entries are received. Finalists are to be announced on October 7, 2006.
